A good massage is not only about the time on the table. Small things before and after make a big difference.
Before your massage
- Arrive 15 minutes early. Change and settle in without rushing.
- Avoid a heavy meal. Eat something light at least an hour before.
- Drink water. Make sure you drink enough during the day.
- Say what you'd like. Tell your therapist your preferred pressure and the areas you want to focus on.
- Share your health situation. Always mention things like pregnancy, injuries or allergies.
After your massage
- Don't get up straight away. Stay lying down for a few minutes.
- Drink plenty of water. Spend some time in the rest area with water or herbal tea.
- A warm shower rather than a hot one. You don't have to wash the oil off immediately.
- Avoid intense exercise. Don't do a hard workout on the same day.
- Note how you feel. Share it with your therapist next time.
When you're ready, book in a few steps.
